Indi came to us via a phone call from a friend who had heard about her. Her owner couldn’t keep her at the time so we took her on to make sure she had a solid/safe future. After having survived the exodus from Newhaven station she certainly deserved a place to call home.
To our surprise, when we arrived to collect her, she was a beauty,not the run down or particularly troubled mare we anticipated. She was in very good condition and all together a great looking mare.
Today we really can’t believe how lucky we were to obtain (by default) a truly magic mare, she is still a little shy but a very intelligent, happy horse. During May she will get some preliminary handling before she heads off to another trainer in June for backing and finishing touches.
We might put her in foal late in the coming season, although will probably send her off to more training as we are full on with work until Christmas. Her future will consist of riding around the hills mostly and perhaps some competition if she’s up to it… we’ll watch her progress. Again she’s a magic mare, one of only a few that we’ll breed with in the future. These photos are from both the first time I met her, and a couple of what she looks like now.
