Our horse for the day on Monday, 19 May 2008

Amanda: Kariong, Australia
This is a photo of me and my Miniature Horse “Kariong Jerry”. Jerry is 8 years old, and I use him for harness driving. He is incredibly strong for his size, he can run all day and frequently outpaces the ‘big’ horses on group carriage drives. I really enjoy working with ponies and miniatures, they have a definite character all of their own which can only be described as cheeky. They are constantly looking for ways to outsmart you, but at the same time can be incredibly willing and hardworking.

Adana Al Nadira is a weanling purebred filly by Afrikah ERA (Sanadik El Shaklan x Arabian Park Egyptian Echo) from Naasama (Amir El Shaklan x Naadya), and is the first purebred filly we have bred here at Diamond Road Arabians, after many years of breeding coloured partbreds. Marcel Roder, Helensburgh South Coast NSW
Roders Ransom is a paint bred paint horse, she missed out on the colour but has great breeding which is why we bought her for a future broodmare.
She is by Imported USA paint Stallion RJ Ransom Australian Champion out a Thoughbred mare and is full sister to a australian champion ridden horse.
She is a sweet filly, how like her paddock mate Fli is a cheeky natured thing ! We bought her as a broodmare and am sure she will do us proud in the mean time she will be our paddock mate to our show filly and give my father something to ride.
